Before applying the productBefore applying the product, it is necessary to mechanically remove dirt from the gas nozzle and contact tip area using suitable tools and then apply the product to this area. Application of the productThe product is applied in such a quantity that a continuous film is formed on the surface of the gas nozzle and contact tip, but there is no excess product running off the burner onto the workplace or weldments. When applying the product, do not hold the burner with the mouth of the gas nozzle perpendicularly upwards to prevent the product from flowing into the holes in the contact tip holder through which the protective gas passes, thus clogging it. It is partially possible to use a weld protection agent to protect the weld against spatter in the immediate vicinity of the weld, but greasy residues of the agent may remain on the weld, which may adversely affect the quality of subsequent surface finishes. For this reason, the product must always be applied in such a way that the excess product sprayed from the torch does not hit accidental welds.
